Profits in the laundry industry are measured by how fast you can turn a job around. That's why you invest in a large capacity dryer in the first place. But not all dryers are the same and none is engineered to work as quietly and as efficiently. We call it the WHISPERDRYer.
FRICTION ROLLER DRIVE
The Ellis twin friction roller drive supports the cylinder and through a common drive shaft drives the cylinder in both directions. This system is a positive contact drive and requires:
- No belt drives around the cylinder (these are difficult to change and require door assembly removal)
- No multi-sheaves compensating system to make up for belt expansion and stretching
- No squealing noise from belt slippage on reversals
MOISTURE SENSING
Drying is programmable by moisture content of the goods in the cylinder or time.
LARGE 192 CUBIC FOOT CYLINDER
This combined with the radial heat introduction allows the goods to freely tumble and flow the heated air through the goods.
LOW RPM BLOWER
The patented Ellis low rpm blower is oversized and moves more air at slower speeds. This extends the life of the blower and reduces abrasion to the blower by sand and foreign matter.
LARGE 55" DOOR
The large insulated roll up door goes over the machine, NOT over the operator's head. This reduces the likelihood of injury if the air system fails. In addition, this requires no floor clearance to open and close and is large enough to handle both shuttled and sling goods.
LOW DECIBEL OPERATION
The 'quiet dryer.' The patented blower allows us to remove the moisture from the goods being dried and keep the noise levels at 70-72 decibels. All this at 12,000 cfm.
HIGH EXHAUST 12,000 CFM
The Ellis WHISPERDRYer evacuates more air and runs quietly too. Competitive machines run anywhere from 5,000 to 9,000 cfms.
