Today, implementing a water reclamation process into industrial applications such as a laundry plant is no longer a consideration, but is a must in order to stay competitive. The Ellis Water Solutions line of industrial ceramic water filtration systems provide pivotal reuse technology that is proven to deliver greater control over water quality while diminishing overall operating costs.

CERAMIC WATER FILTRATION
  • REJECTS UP TO 99% + FILTERABLE CONTAMINANTS
  • RECOVERY RATES UP TO 80%
  • REMOVES EMULSIFIED AND FREE OILS
  • REMOVES INSOLUBLE POLLUTANTS
  • PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS
  • FILTERS FIBERS WITHOUT PLUGGING
  • SELF-CLEANING CLEAN-IN-PLACE TECHNOLOGY
  • CUSTOM DESIGNED TO YOUR APPLICATION
  • DECREASES WATER, SEWER, AND ENERGY COSTS

IMPLEMENTING CERAMIC WATER FILTRATION MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY

A closed-loop ceramic water filtration system from Ellis Corporation can tackle the wastewater streams that a conventional process cannot, including high levels of TSS, oil and grease, proteins, colloids, heavy metals, detergent laden chemicals and high and low pH process streams.

The Nautilus 2.0 Water Recovery System comes equipped with Ellis’ Uptime® software program that not only reports operational data but also supplies the operator with predictive and preventative maintenance data. This information is provided right at the equipment. Going back to the office to go online or look for the IOM manuals is no longer necessary. Everything is right at your fingertips while at the water filtration equipment.

The water reclamation system identifies frequent errors, alarms and notifies the operator of what parts need to be investigated to prevent repeats. The software shows what part is affected, how to inspect the part to check for failure or repair, how to replace the part and the part number. The software can also be preprogrammed to operate the cleaning program for the ceramic filters even if no staff is available. Why have an operator wait for the cleaning process? If there is a problem during the cleaning cycle, the software will notify the operator that a problem occurred.

The green highlighted parts identify that the system is in operation mode showing pumps operating, and valves open. If there was a fault the areas of concern would turn red.

Multi-Tier Troubleshooting Screen

The Multi-Tier Troubleshooting identifies the fault(s)

Provides visualization where the fault is located on the filtration skid

Provides a visual of the exact part the operator is looking for to troubleshoot the fault

Real-Time Reporting identifies Screen

Real-Time Reporting identifies current alarm condition

The report identifies all alarms that have faulted

Not all alarms result in a fault that trigger system shutdown, but the alarm is recorded so that the operator can identify (predictive) maintenance issues

Uptime Scheduled Maintenance Screen
Scheduled Maintenance Screen

Scheduled Maintenance will flash on the screen notifying the operator what preventative maintenance action needs to occur.

NOTE the QR code is on the screen to instruct the operator how to conduct the needed maintenance.

When access is allowed, click the QR code below and transfer to your browser to open the required information.

Scheduled Maintenance will flash on the screen notifying the operator what preventative maintenance action needs to occur

If the operator chooses not to watch the video or needs additional assistance, schematics, drawings, tips and part numbers are also in the UPtime controller.

Operator Alarm Diagram

When equipment has an alarm, it will send a text message to the operator to inform them that the system needs a check. The equipment that needs attention will be highlighted in RED to make identification where the problem is occurring in the process. If there is a significant failure the system will shut down automatically. The system will not restart without acknowledgement by the operator and the start-up code is entered.

Besides operational data being reported on a dashboard alarm data is also reported. In the example, the plant was experiencing system errors. These errors would lead to faults shutting down the system. Ellis engineers were able to diagnose the problem by reviewing data and not having to travel 715 miles. Working with the operator over the phone it was discovered that significant condensation within the airlines and significant mechanical issues with the very old plant air compressor were causing the alarms and faults.
